Heat Pump Financing through the Assignment of Rights (AoR)
Swap Subsidy for upfront capital
The renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Subsidy
When you install a ground or air source heat pump the government will pay generous subsidies for the following 7 years.
What is the Assignment of Rights (AoR)?
Through AoR, you can assign your rights to the RHI to an investor such as Swangrove Energy in exchange for upfront capital.
How does it Work?
Upon registering your heat pump, you will assign your rights to the RHI to Swangrove Energy.
Swangrove Energy will pay a large portion of the install costs for the installation. You will be required to pay the rest.
Provided you comply with the ongoing obligations with respect to the AoR and RHI, you will not pay any interest or principle.
Swangrove Energy will be paid the RHI directly by the government.
How much will Swangrove Energy pay?
The amount that we pay will be a multiple of the first year’s Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) subsidy.
